Delete Your Account
Last updated: August 11, 2026
You can delete your PulseSoul account at any time, from inside the app or by writing to us. This page explains exactly how, what is removed, what is kept, and how long it takes.
Option 1 - Delete inside the app (fastest)
- Open PulseSoul on your phone.
- Tap your profile at the top of the chat list.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete account.
- Type DELETE to confirm, then tap Delete my account.
Changed your mind? You have 30 days
Your account is deactivated immediately and you are signed out, but nothing is erased for 30 days. If you change your mind, simply log in again with the same phone number within that period and your account is fully restored. After 30 days the deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.
Option 2 - Request deletion by email
No access to the app anymore? Email [email protected] with the subject “Delete my PulseSoul account” from any address, and include the phone number your account is registered with. We may need to verify you own the number before deleting. We action verified requests within 7 days, after which the same 30-day period applies.
What gets deleted
Permanently erased once the 30-day period ends:
- Your account, phone number registration and profile (name, photo, about).
- Your statuses, and your Family Moments together with their photos and videos.
- Your Family Graph connections, CareShield settings and CareShield signals.
- The life events you added - birthdays, anniversaries and the reminders built on them.
- Your reminders, scheduled messages and saved family lists.
- Your membership of every chat, including which chats you archived, pinned, muted or had read, and your reactions, stars, poll votes and event replies.
- Your SOS and live-location records, and any blocks or reports you made.
- Push tokens and device registrations for all your devices.
What is kept, and why
- Messages you already sent stay with the people you sent them to. A conversation belongs to both sides, so your past messages remain in their chats, with your name and profile photo removed. This works the same way as SMS and email: we cannot reach into someone else’s conversation and remove what you sent them.
- The files you sent in those chats - photos, videos, voice notes and documents - stay with the conversation for the same reason, as an encrypted blob no longer linked to your profile.
- Basic call records - who called whom, when, and for how long - are kept as shared conversation history. We never record the calls themselves.
- Copies already on other people’s devices - for example a photo they saved to their gallery - are outside our reach entirely.
- Backups you made to your own Google Drive. Those files belong to your Google account; delete them in Google Drive whenever you wish.
- Security and audit records - for example sign-in events and the deletion request itself - are kept as an append-only security log, which we do not modify or delete. They identify the account, not its contents.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
You do not have to delete everything. Inside the app you can delete individual messages, delete your own Moments, and turn CareShield off - each takes effect straight away. Statuses remove themselves automatically 24 hours after you post them.
