Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 25, 2026
PulseSoul (“PulseSoul”, “we”, “us”) is a private family communication app for Android. This policy explains what information the PulseSoul app and this website handle, why, and the control you have over it. We have written it in plain language on purpose - a privacy policy you cannot understand protects no one.
The short version: we collect the minimum needed to run a messaging and family-care service, we store your content encrypted, we show no ads, and we never sell or rent your personal data to anyone.
1. Information we collect
Account information
- Phone number and profile. Your phone number identifies your account. Your name, profile photo and “about” text are optional and visible to people you connect with.
Contacts (for finding your family)
- With your permission, PulseSoul reads the phone numbers in your address book to discover which of your contacts already use PulseSoul and to let you invite the rest. Contact data is used for matching and is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to build marketing profiles.
Messages, calls and media
- Messages and media (photos, videos, voice notes, documents, statuses and Family Moments) are transmitted over encrypted connections and stored encrypted on our servers so they can be delivered to your family and restored on your devices.
- Calls. Voice and video calls are carried over encrypted real-time channels. We do not record your calls. Basic call events (who called whom, when, how long) are processed to make the feature work.
CareShield and SOS
- CareShield processes activity signals from a participating family member’s phone to provide wellness awareness. These signals are shared only with the family members that person has approved through their Family Graph.
- When someone triggers SOS, the alert - and, if they have enabled it, their location - is sent to their chosen family members. Location is used for SOS and safety features only, never for advertising.
Technical data
- Minimal device and diagnostic information (device model, OS version, app version, crash logs, push-notification tokens) to keep PulseSoul reliable and secure.
2. What we do NOT do
- No advertising inside PulseSoul, and no third-party advertising SDKs.
- No selling or renting of your personal data. Ever.
- No reading of your Google Drive - see “Backups” below.
- No public profiles: your content is visible only along confirmed relationships.
3. How your data is protected
- All traffic between your phone and our servers uses encrypted connections (TLS).
- Messages, media, statuses and moments are stored encrypted at rest - each item is individually sealed with modern AES-GCM encryption.
- Access to production systems is restricted and authenticated. Full end-to-end encryption is on our public roadmap; we do not claim it until it ships.
4. Backups to your Google Drive
You can optionally transfer chat media and Family Moments to your own Google Drive. PulseSoul uses Google’s most restrictive Drive permission (drive.file), which means the app can only see files it created itself - never the rest of your Drive. Backups belong to you, live in your Google account, and are governed by Google’s terms once transferred. If you choose “transfer & delete from mobile”, only local copies on your phone are removed - your messages and the family’s copies are untouched.
5. How long we keep data
- Account data: for as long as your account exists.
- Messages, statuses and moments: until you delete them, they expire (statuses last 24 hours), or your account is deleted.
- Diagnostic logs: kept briefly for reliability and security, then deleted or anonymised.
6. Deleting your data
You can delete individual messages, statuses and your own moments inside the app. To delete your entire account, open PulseSoul → Settings → Account → Delete account, or follow the steps on our Delete Account page. Account deletion removes your profile and your content from our servers within 30 days, except where a copy already sits on another person’s device (for example, a message you sent them) or where law requires brief retention.
7. Sharing with service providers
We use a small number of infrastructure providers to run PulseSoul - cloud hosting for our servers and database, real-time relay servers for calls, and push-notification delivery. They process data solely to provide these services to us and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. SMS invitations are sent from your own phone, by you.
8. Children
PulseSoul is built for families but is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly create accounts for children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
9. Your rights
You may access, correct or delete your personal information, and you may withdraw permissions (like contacts or location) in your phone’s settings at any time. Write to us and we will help: [email protected].
10. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you inside the app. We will never quietly weaken your privacy.
11. Contact
PulseSoul is operated from India. For any privacy question or request: [email protected]
